Munro Architects are a well established practice providing a wide range of architectural services throughout Scotland.
The practice was formed in 1977 by W Iain Munro under the title W I Munro Chartered Architects. In 2004, the practice changed its name to Munro Architects and in April 2011 the practice became Munro Architects Ltd.
The practice has steadily expanded since it was founded, to a staff of seven, at the present time, including office manager and marketing personnel. We have the ability to handle projects of all sizes and to deliver an imaginative and innovative design response to every brief which can be tailored to suit our clients’ requirements.
Over its 40 year existence our practice has gained vast experience and a portfolio of work including new build and refurbishment projects throughout Scotland that spans all building sectors.
We approach every project with a view to fostering close relationships and collaboration with our client, the user groups, and design team colleagues to establish the key criteria and fundamental ethos needed to develop a coherent, practicable and exciting design strategy.
Development of concepts to achieve creative practical solutions are carried out as a team. Central to this is a need for frequent positive consultation and involvement from all parties. This assists in fostering a feeling of ownership and inclusion. All design team members are encouraged to become involved to achieve a coherent collaborative solution to the brief.
We have a diverse range of work and proven track record of successful projects from individual private clients to national organisations. We pride ourselves on the fact that much of our current work load is repeat business and that new enquiries often come through recommendations.
